any “holiday” that promotes enjoying something sweet AND celebrates your inner/outer nerd, is a holiday of mine.  happy pi day!!  we have been anticipating this day for a while now!  we let the wild, dorky rumpus begin by:

making our own rough and tough, tattooed gang of rufians.

reading this awesome book.

making this fun visual guide.

writing down pi with this many digits after the decimal.

and reading this awesome book and then this Why Pi book too!  Math is SO much more fun with books like these!

finding the area and circumference of circles we could consume.  you answer, you eat.

make a pie with pi on it.

graph the equivalent of pi to create your own skyline.  then name it whatever your kids tell you!

and last but not least…throw whip cream pies in each other’s faces.  let me know how that one goes for ya.  😉
